In order to stimulate the scientific interest of university students, the Council of the University of Szeged announces the István Apáthy Commemorial Medal and Prize competition in the first semester of each academic year. The Apáthy Prize is intended to recognize the exemplary study work of a student who, in addition to acquiring the compulsory curriculum, has also carried out continuous and outstandingly successful scientific student activities. The Apáthy István Commemorative Medal and Prize can only be given to one student in an undivided form.
